Fresh-Faced Beauty

Rihanna graces the cover of Seventeen Magazine's August issue.

Rihanna on Fashion:

"The thrill in fashion for me is taking a risk and daring myself to make it work. Even when I go shopping, I always buy something twisted and I know I’m going to have to figure out somehow to pull it off and make it my own."

MashMusic: Follow Me, Follow Me

Rapper Drake and Jimmy Kimmel teamed up for this song that uses tweets from celebrities. I'm a huge Drake fan (I've been following him since his Degrassi days) and this was just overall funny. You can follow me on Twitter btw, I promise not to discuss bedbugs.

Michael Jackson Inspired

Here are a few looks I pulled together that are inspired by MJ. Starting with the white suit look he had for Thriller.

Click below to see another look.

Michael Jackson: A Year Later

Here is MJ performing one of my favorite songs live, Smooth Criminal

Twilight Ladies: Ashley Greene

My favorite look of the night, goes to Ashley Greene of course. She's one of my favorite style stars whether she's running errands or hitting the red carpet. I loved this strapless, floor length gray gown. I love how she opted for a bracelet and clutch as accessories to keep the overall look chic-but-simplistic. I'll go on a hunt through the web to find similar looks (more than likely for less), to post later. Are you feeling this look? Enjoy!

Twilight Ladies: Bryce Dallas Howard

Newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard (I love that name!) showed up in this yellow floor length gown with ruffles. Are you feeling this look?

Twilight Ladies: Nikki Reed

My not so favorite look of the night, Nikki Reed in this feathered dress. Don't get me wrong I'm a girl who loves her feathers-when used correctly. Maybe it's the sleeves that push this look over the top or the plunging neckline that screams ice skater. Either way, I think she could've done better. Although her smile screams confidence in her look. Are we feeling it?

Twilight Ladies: Dakota Fanning

Dakota Fanning can do no wrong in my book and this beige dress with gold peep toe platform shoes are lovely. Are we feeling it?

Twilight Ladies: Kristen Stewart

The premiere of Twilight Eclipse went down last night, I will post a few of the looks the stars of the movie sported starting with Kristen Stewart.

I do like Stewart and I while I do like most of this Elie Saab white textural dress, I could do without the bib-like neckline of the sleeveless side of the dress. It just looks off to me or am I wrong? The rest of the dress and the shoes are excellent and it's nice to see Stewart continue on her fashion forward path with an interesting dress. So, are we feeling it?

Just Right Bikini

Taylor Swift enjoyed some time off at the beach in the Bahamas in this vintage inspired bikini recently. I love the shape and over-all look of this bikini, it's probably my love of '50s style (I love the retro-styled Barbies) and the fact that it fits in with her normal everyday attire. I plan on doing a post later on Taylor Swift's style (she wears the cutest dresses).

On Trend: Navy

Navy blue is one of those great colors that is the perfect alternative to black during the summer. Here is Lauren Conrad in a 3.1 Phillip Lim jump suit accented with Christian Louboutin shoes and a brown belt.  Enjoy!

Need to See: Sam Edelman

These were recently added to the Nordstrom website. I haven't seen them in person yet (I'm out of town for a few days). But they definitely look like they belong in my closet. They also come in sequins and both go for $140.

CelebStyle: Rihanna

I love Rihanna's style, while some of the things she wears isn't for everyone, she has a definite style and knows how to mix and match prints like she does with this paisley bandeau top with the polka dot skirt, the fedora shields her from the sun and adds a chic touch to the outfit. View my take on this look after the jump.

Smart Girls at the Party

Twitter was alive today with tweets about Amy Poehler's new venture Smart Girls at the Party. Of course I had to check it out and came to this conclusion: Amy Poehler is fabulous! Not only is she pretty, smart and funny, but she hangs out with a cool group that includes her friends Meredith Walker and Amy Miles and together they came up with SmartGirlsattheParty.com a website where they put the spotlight on girls and women who are making a difference in the world by being the best them that they can be! Below is a video that features Rachel, a 12 year old who builds robots! Check out the vid to hear Amy P. tongue in cheek interview questions and hear about a cool girl who likes to build things. Watch till the end for a dance break with appearances by Aziz Ansari, Amy P.'s hubby Will Arnett and more. Enjoy!

CelebStyle: Jada Pinkett Smith

I've been a huge fan of Jada Pinkett, ever since her early days on A Different World (still one of my fav shows!). Here she is in one of my summer favorites a Little White Dress, paired with killer heels.

My take on this look after the jump.

MashPreview: HellCats

Ok, to be honest at first I was a little on the fence about the CW's new series Hell Cats, the original preview said cheerleaders  and more cheerleaders and I was uninterested.

However, the CW has redeemed themselves and released a full preview. The show centers around Marti Perkins a lawyer-to-be who decides to tryout for the cheerleading squad after losing her scholarship. The premise is basically Bring it On : The College Years (I know I wasn't the only one looking forward to see what happened at USC) with the cheerleaders living together like a sorority. My only regret is that I didn't think of it first! Click below to check out the preview.

In Case You Missed It

Ok, I saw this video and just had to post. I am terrified of snakes too and I don't think I would've behaved any differently. Here's Salma Hayek Pinault freaking out during an interview over a snake.

MashFlashback: '80's Theme Songs

I was watching an old episode of Who's the Boss (we all know it was Mona right?), anyway, while singing along with the theme song, I realized, the composers in the '80's really knew how to write a theme song! Aside from the Boss, there was the A-Team, 227, Amen, Miami Vice, Family Ties, Jake and the Fatman, Golden Girls, Cheers... need I go on? Not only were the songs catchy, but they take me back down memory lane. So, what's your favorite theme song?

MashStyle Star: Ashley Greene

So, Twilight beauty Ashley Greene stepped out and showcased her new highlights and a cute casual style. I love Ashley's style she can go from laid back to glamorous in the blink of an eye (which may be why she's the new face of mark cosmetics). I'm a huge fan of gray (it's such a great neutral color), so i pulled together a similar look. Check it out

MTV Movie Awards

So, the MTV Movie Awards just went off the air. Hosted by Aziz Ansari (of Parks and Recreation), the show was honestly one of my favorite ones to date. Aziz was hilarious and while I may be a little biased since I actually like his comedy, he was definitely a good choice for host. Aside from all of the f-bombs (did you catch the end when they didn't catch Peter Facinelli?) the best part of the show was easily Tom Cruises (and later Jennifer Lopez's) dance number in an ode to his Les Grossman character from Tropic Thunder. Here's the video. Enjoy!

Summer Loving

The best part of summer, aside from the warm weather, are all of the great outdoor music festivals and concerts that take place throughout the country. Here are a few looks that are perfect for hangin' in the summer sun. From shorts to the always comfortable maxi dress, here are a few of my favorite looks:

The boots are my favorite for summer, they're lightweight and if you live in warm all-year round place like Miami, they'll be with you all year long. To check out a few of my favorite dresses

Joss Stone for Nine West

You're looking at the first peek of singer Joss Stone first collaboration with Nine West Vintage America. The neo-soul singer was inspired by her tattoos, when she helped design the collection. Available this fall, the shoes features lace-up booties, and a shearling bootie. Another reason to love fall!
