Gaga Meets Godiva

Lady Gaga covers the September Issue of  Vanity Fair and she looks magnificent in this Lady Godiva inspired shoot. She opted for a very toned down look (do you remember this Rolling Stone's cover?) and went nude with very well placed hair extensions. It's definitely Lady Godiva for the 21st Century and I love it! My favorite part (aside from the choker?)  the nails, which appear to be a  smoky grey that's a little lighter than my favorite OPI shade, You Don't Know Jacques. I am now on the hunt for this shade. If you guys know of anything similar drop me a line :).

Totally Loving: Tracy Reese

Known for her bright color palette and wonderfully amazing dresses, I just had to share. The best part about Tracy Reese's designs? They're affordable (in the you won't have to miss rent, maybe just that cable bill way ;).

Just Lovely

How cool is this Phillip Treacy blue beano with stones?

Ok, so we all know how much I love Mad Men (did you catch the Season premiere?) Here is Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan on Mad Men, who did an interview with  LA Times. There she discusses her love of the accordian, why she dyes her hair red and how it feels to be a curvy girl in the world of twos and zeros.  The pictures are fab, so I just had to share.

Silk Shirts

So, I decided to create this look based on what Alexa Chung wore to the Mulberry party. Silk shirts with short to beat the summer heat? Yes, please. Enjoy!

Party Girls

I couldn't help but post these photos from the Mulberry A/W 2010 party in Los Angeles. My favorite model/designer/tv personality Alexa Chung (she's carrying her namesakee Mulberry bag in leopard in the last pic) was there. It looks like everyone had a grand old time.

Mad Men

One of my favorite shows is Mad Men (season 4 premieres this Sunday yaaay!!). To me the costumes are just as important as the characters and the stories they tell. Here's Janie Bryant, the show's costume designer, giving a sneak peek at what to expect for Season 4. She discusses Joan's va va voom style and Betty Draper's more refined polished look (January Jones always looks amazing). Enjoy!

Timeless Beauty

Alexa Chung is featured in Vogue's August Age issue. This year the editors chose women who have made career changes (Chung was a VJ and now designs a line for Madewell).

I admire people who follow their heart and passion no matter what other's may think, so I am excited about this issue. But can we take a moment to admire Alexa's eyes? I've been a fan of her style for a while now and her makeup never ceases to amaze me.

Lady Antonia Fraser (78) also makes the list and I just really love this picture.

Old School Glamour

I love Eva Mendes. She oozes old school Hollywood glamour (check out the eyes) in her Dolce and Gabbana . She's on the cover of Allure's August issue where she discusses her body image. More photos after the jump.

MashTV: Covert Affairs

Let's talk about Covert Affairs, the new USA show that follows Annie (Piper Perabo), a new CIA recruit as she gets her feet wet in the spy business. When I first heard about this show I instantly thought about Sydney Bristow (loooved Alias), but surprisingly it's a story that works. Romance is at the heart of the story as Annie joins the CIA to basically forget about a lost love, who it turns out may be a covert agent himself. Rounding out the cast are Christopher Gorham as Auggie, the techie, Peter Gallagher as the head of a department and his wife, Kari Matchett as Annie's boss. Overall it was an engaging story and is definitely welcome to my summer line up.

MashStyle: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba has been making the rounds in Paris and popped up at a Hugo Boss event in this cute summery dress belted at the and cute sandals.

My take on this look after the jump.

MashStyle: Elisa Sednaoui

I was out of town for a few weeks and finally had a chance to catch up on my July magazines. In Vogue is where I stumbled across mode/actressl Elisa Sednaoui, the Italian-born daughter of a former model and get this goddaughter of Christian Louboutain. How great would it be to shop her closet?Well, here's the next best thing, she's featured in this video on Modelinia where she picks out a few of her favorite pieces and discusses her style. Video after the jump.

MashMusic: Gaga on Today

I've been a huge fan of Lady Gaga since I first saw her Just Dance video. Her performance on this morning's Today show did not disappoint, I loved every minute. Here's her performance of  Bad Romance and Someone to Watch Over Me (her version is good, but check out Amy Winehouse's version).

DIY: Jeans

I am all for a DIY project as long as it seems simple and if I mess up, the item is still more or less usable, which is why I was glad when I came across this Victoria Beckham DIY for jeans. The end result is neat and an old pair of jeans could be just the trick. Check it out here.

Pop of Color

I know these first few photos of Leighton Meester and Blake Lively in Paris for Gossip Girl have been making the rounds on the internet, but I couldn't help but post these photos. Watching Gossip Girl is like a fashion feast for the eyes and if these photos indicate the things to come, I can't wait for season 4.

Blake looks great in these cobalt blue pants and Brian Atwood studded pumps.

Who Wears Short Shorts

I love Cameron Diaz's easy breezy California Girl style. This picture has been on my desk top for over a week now (bad I know), but here she is last week doing promos for her new movie Knight and Day (which I happened to enjoy).  The shorts get upgraded to dressy casual with the help of the plain white t and the light blue blazer. Her Chloe wedges and lucite jewelry go perfect for the cool style.

May take on this look when you

MashStyle: Solange

Singer Solange Knowles (aka Beyonce's little sister), is featured in a Refinery29 spread. The sassy diva discusses her love of shoes and vintage clothes.

First, I must say I love her hair. She recently went natural and decided to rock this afro wig, which looks great. There's no way her style could be mistaken for her sister's. Excerpts from the interview and more photos when you click below.
