Gaga Meets Godiva

Lady Gaga covers the September Issue of  Vanity Fair and she looks magnificent in this Lady Godiva inspired shoot. She opted for a very toned down look (do you remember this Rolling Stone's cover?) and went nude with very well placed hair extensions. It's definitely Lady Godiva for the 21st Century and I love it! My favorite part (aside from the choker?)  the nails, which appear to be a  smoky grey that's a little lighter than my favorite OPI shade, You Don't Know Jacques. I am now on the hunt for this shade. If you guys know of anything similar drop me a line :).

Totally Loving: Tracy Reese

Known for her bright color palette and wonderfully amazing dresses, I just had to share. The best part about Tracy Reese's designs? They're affordable (in the you won't have to miss rent, maybe just that cable bill way ;).

Just Lovely

How cool is this Phillip Treacy blue beano with stones?

Ok, so we all know how much I love Mad Men (did you catch the Season premiere?) Here is Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan on Mad Men, who did an interview with  LA Times. There she discusses her love of the accordian, why she dyes her hair red and how it feels to be a curvy girl in the world of twos and zeros.  The pictures are fab, so I just had to share.

Silk Shirts

So, I decided to create this look based on what Alexa Chung wore to the Mulberry party. Silk shirts with short to beat the summer heat? Yes, please. Enjoy!

Party Girls

I couldn't help but post these photos from the Mulberry A/W 2010 party in Los Angeles. My favorite model/designer/tv personality Alexa Chung (she's carrying her namesakee Mulberry bag in leopard in the last pic) was there. It looks like everyone had a grand old time.

Mad Men

One of my favorite shows is Mad Men (season 4 premieres this Sunday yaaay!!). To me the costumes are just as important as the characters and the stories they tell. Here's Janie Bryant, the show's costume designer, giving a sneak peek at what to expect for Season 4. She discusses Joan's va va voom style and Betty Draper's more refined polished look (January Jones always looks amazing). Enjoy!

Timeless Beauty

Alexa Chung is featured in Vogue's August Age issue. This year the editors chose women who have made career changes (Chung was a VJ and now designs a line for Madewell).

I admire people who follow their heart and passion no matter what other's may think, so I am excited about this issue. But can we take a moment to admire Alexa's eyes? I've been a fan of her style for a while now and her makeup never ceases to amaze me.

Lady Antonia Fraser (78) also makes the list and I just really love this picture.

Enjoy!
