Dress + Pants

Emma Watson (one of my fave Emmas) hit the red carpet for the premiere of her latest film The Perks of Being a Wallflower wearing a strapless dress over skinny tuxedo pants.  Definitely a look I am thinking about stealing for an upcoming wedding.  Nicole Kidman follows suit on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, in Dior.  Loving both, but how do you feel about wearing a dress with pants?  Yay or nay?

I have been on a bit of a shoe kick lately...obviously in love with brown and neutrals.  Picked up the Coach sneakers on super sale at Nordstrom Rack, how I love looking for those red tags there.  Hope everyone had a lovely weekend :).

Color Pop

Yesterday Elle magazine hosted the Women in Hollywood party.  The red carpet was pretty safe, save for a few lovely ladies who added a touch of pizzazz to the proceedings.  

Danai Gurira wore a lwd and added a pop of color with her shoes.

leslie mann was spot on with an orange frock, but kept the rest of the look demure
 with nude pumps and simple earrings.

MashMovie: Halloween

Outside of August (my birthday month!) October is one of my favorites of the year.  The weather begins to change (the humidity leaves Miami for a bit) and the holidaze is right around the corner (Christmas shopping begins J. Although I'm not a huuuge fan of Halloween, I do like handing out candy and looking at the great costumes (you can find great Halloween ideas and games at Woolworths,I do like a scary movie or two every now and then below my movie picks for the month.

The Omen, 1976

One of the first scary movies that I watched in it's entirety.  A creepy, tricycle-riding demon child (named Damien, no less) put in line to become a political power house? Scary indeed.

Rihanna stepped out this week in NYC in a monochromatic navy look.  I don't know how the weather is where you are, but a chiffon top with shorts and sandals seem about right for Miami right now.

MashMusic: Losing You

I have a well documented love for Solange (see here, here and here) So imagine how happy I am to see her back in action singing in her new video for her single "Losing You."  Solange owns her fashion muse status in looks by Kenzo, J. Crew, DVF and Suno as she traipses around Cape Town with her friends.  Love the entire look and feel of the video (even the weird dancing going on around the :46 mark).  My favorite look has to be the orange suit, which is your favorite?
