Willow

Willow Smith is definitely creative when it comes to style, here is a behind the scenes video of a photo shoot she did for London Sunday Times Style section. My favorite look has to be the photo up above, love the earrings, nails and glasses (i actually want a pair).

Merry Christmas!!!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! This year I am at home with my family and after our traditional Christmas Eve barbecue (it's Miami) I'll stay up late watching movies and helping my sister wrap gifts for my niece (late night gift wrapping is another one of our traditions). May you all be happy and healthy in your respective places!

New Blog (for work) and Post

I started a new blog for my new job as social media coordinator for a small handbag company called Murval Paris  I was trying to decide if I wanted to mix the two or just let them lead separate lives, I decided on the former. Of course they're two very different blogs, but occasionally I'll mention one on the other (this being one of those times). I created this really cool look on Polyvore and decided to share it over here too. The new blog is Girl Meets Handbag , so feel free to follow along over there too ;).

Note to Self

Like many of you, I troll fashion blogs regularly and sometimes I get so inspired by a look I think "hey, I can do that!" I had such a moment when I came across this photo on Late Afternoon via StreetFsn

The girl's name is Eva and this sweatshirt is what prompted the earlier statement. I went out to Walmart (two weeks before Christmas, mind you, it was a mad house!) and picked up a gray sweatshirt (I own very few since I live in Miami) grabbed the scissors and went to chopping...only I didn't have the picture in front of me and my shirt looks like it got caught on the edge of something and ripped a part...I'll take a look at it again in the morning to see if it's salvageable, but for now it serves as a reminder to me to always look at the picture first :(. (I'll upload pictures of my failed attempt later on Facebook, which you should "like" btw).
Anyway, here are a few more pictures from Streetfsn
Eva again

Anja Rubik...loving the whole look, including the peep of leopard print shoes.

Christine Centenera I doubt that it's faux :(, but I love how the fur polishes off the entire look.

On My List

The weather in Miami is warming up (I'm hoping for a cold Christmas), but I still want these  bracelets from MysticFibers , they're silver yarn bracelets. They look cozy and come gift wrapped...

Random Olsen Pics

I was going through my pictures and stumbled across these photos of Mary Kate that I didn't post. I believe they are from the Marie Claire September issue. The first is one of my favorite. Enjoy!

Zara Look Book

It's cold in Miami, in the 50's (which is freezing for us:) as I rejoice at finally being able to take my boots out for a run (yay Osojoss) and listen to Ray Charles and Betty Carter's  Baby It's Cold Outside, I took a look at Zara's look book and  picked out my favorite evening and November pieces (while sipping hot cocoa of course).  Enjoy!

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington is one of my favorite actresses, ever since she played the sister in Save the Last Dance, she's been on my radar, she takes on versatile roles (i.e. Ray and The Last King of Scotland) and is just plain cool. Anyway, here she is in a photo she did for LA Times Magazine, the hair is...interesting but the dress rocks!

On My List

Does putting a wish list item on your blog mean that it will automatically appear under your tree? If it does, I will totally never doubt Santa again.

Holiday Gift Guide: Glam Bestie

As promised here is the first installment of my Holiday Gift Guide, I will post gift ideas all week long, starting with gifts for the person who knows all your secrets: The Bestie! I went with a sparkly, night on the town look for her, starting with Arden B. sequin skirt and ending with my favorite fragrance Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, the scent is so light yet definitely leaves an impact. The best part about this guide? Everything is under $100. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am actually thankful for quite a few things, not the least of which is being around to see another turkey day. this time last year I washed my relaxed hair for the last time, i tried to do a twist out, didn't like the results, grabbed the scissors and started cutting. although this isn't a hair blog, I am thankful that I made that decision and that I've kept it up...I may put up pictures soon...we'll see.

Okay, back to beauty. The other thing I'm thankful for is Revlon Nail Polish in Minted. It's my favorite new color of the season, very reminiscent of Essie's Mint Apple, which was in the special 2009 winter collection. The color lasts long (it withstood me washing dishes and my daily typing) and it's a cool color to brighten the winter blahs (though i don't know much about that anymore since I live in South Florida).

In Navy

The gorgeous Chanel Iman covers the November issue of Ocean Drive magazine wearing Marchesa. Chanel is one of my favorite models, because she always looks like she's having fun. She also seems very down to earth and gives back to the community through various organizations, including The HerShe Group, a non-profit group that caters to girls in foster care.

MashMusic Review: The Lady Killer

I just picked up Cee Lo Green's new album The Lady Killer and I am in love with the entire album. Of course it has the catchy F**K You, about a guy who is with his old girlfriend, it has a '60s Motown vibe. I've played the whole album from start to finish and didn't skip one song (although I did replay a few). The album stays in line with his soul/hip-hop roots and one of favorite songs on the album is his collaboration with Lauren Bennet Love Gun, which is basically an ode to Cupid. Bennet is a member of the UK girls group Paradiso Girls (this is my first time hearing about them too), which from the look of their video is a Pussy Cat Dolls redux (Cee-Lo collaborated with them on Don't Cha).

Anyway,  if you love Gnarls Barkley, Outcast or even B.O.B. The Lady Killer is definitely the album for you. Below Cee Lo's video for F**k You (it's uncensored). And following that, a clip from next week's episode of Glee, featuring Gwyneth Paltrow (if you haven't heard her sing Cruisin' you should check it out on Itunes) singing the censored version Forget You. Enjoy!

Holiday Dreaming...

Obviously I've been browsing through Asos a bit much lately...but I simply love these looks! They are perfect for the Holidays and are definitely inspired by the '60s. It looks like something Samantha Stevens cousin, Serena would've worn (can you tell how much I loooove Bewitched?) Enjoy!

Asos

We got our first taste of fall-like weather in Miami today! It's been in the 60's with a nice breeze all day, which got me a little excited about what I could wear now that the weather is changing. Another thing that has me a little excited Asos, the online retailer is now offering free shipping on all orders in the U.S. I have never ordered from them before, mainly because of the mixed reviews on the length of shipping time. But now, I believe I am finally ready to take the plunge, here are a few of the things I checked out:

leopard print maxi

cable knit maxi

cheap monday knit sweater dress

how cute are these leopard print-studs

Not sure yet what I will get, but I will let you know how the whole ordering/shipping process goes. What has your experience been ordering from Asos?
