Rosie the Riveter

Recently, the Library of Congress uploaded a ton of photos that were taken during the great depression and beginning of World War II.  What makes these photos special is the fact that they were taken in color in an era where many of the photos are in black and white, so you get a view of the era that isn't widely published.  I won't go into a long history about women and work during WWII, but two of the photos that stood out to me the most were of women working in factories.  The best part, even though they were building machinery and working with wiring, their hair, makeup and nails we're done.  A bold red lip?  Never out of style.
